Welcome to Cotterell!
Cotterell is the first map by the UKDT. It is a left-path map based on the city of Bath, in south-west England. It consists of one line, running between the town centre and the University of Cotterell. The map was mainly built to test the ability of those of us in the UKDT (UK Design Team) to work together before moving on to a bigger project. We reckon it's been a success, so look forward to more coming soon! The map is self-contained, but you will need to install the required bus. Link is in the readme, included in the download.

What's next?
Cotterell was a project to test our ability. Well, consider it tested! We did initially have plans to expand Cotterell with more routes from Bath and maybe even link it to Buses of the Westcountry (BotW), but they never got further than the drawing board. As such, this is the final form of Cotterell, with any future updates only being bugfixes or important patches.

The project team:

  • Whistlehead, project lead and object maker
  • iomex, primary map builder
  • Road-hog123, map technician
  • Fellowslothb, map technician
  • THE PH6NT0M, bus repainter

Additional credits to:
  • BTV, for his objects pack
  • 3D Warehouse users G3FX and Damo, for objects we converted under the 3D warehouse terms of use
  • O3D SimpleCrossingSplines and SmallDetailStuff
  • VKL's splines
  • Textures.com for providing free textures (seriously, check it out if you need some)
  • The developers of OMSI, for the game to play and all the default buildings we repainted.

Known issues:
  • Drive while only loading one adjacent tile, or you'll run into walls of trees.
  • AI buses stop oddly in the bus station. Again, the core game code doesn't allow for reversing, so our lovely bus station results in some odd driving.

Hi i love this map and how it uses the E400R EcoLife But one problem how do i get the bus to show the dest on the outside??
Not bad. I hope BOTW and Cotterell join at some point
Why i cannot load this map in my omsi2 map list?but i have install this map
Why wont it show up in my maps
My bus is out of petrol. Can you add a petrol station for refuel please?
I only just bought Omsi 2 on Friday, It is something I had been aware of for years but never ended up getting it. No idea what pushed me to finally buy it, but I think its maps with this sort of quality that will keep me playing it for a long time to come. Excellent quality map.
Great map. Can you get rid of the old leylands parked up and replace them with something more realistic like the Enviro 400
I have loved this map ever since I got hold of it and now with the E400R as the primary AI (I did edit the original AI to The E400R but it still was a bit l had problems including Bus Stop Issues But They are all fixed now!) Question: Why is Road-hog123 an Idiot?
Great little map and the update has made it much better - especially the new timetables. Definitely deserves the 5 stars, considering how similar it looks to Bath route U1!
Brillaint map fantastic detail only slight problem is my AI traffic does not work there is just the bus im driving thats it no other buses only cars
Buses don't run 24/7, check to make sure you're not running on a public holiday or a Sunday. More commonly, this is because your Timetable Priority setting is set to less than 4. Increasing this to 4 often helps resolve this.
