Welcome to Buses of the Westcountry! Drive the route 35 between the affluent, bohemian town of Totnes and the coastal town of Paignton - crossing stunning countryside along the way. Negotiate tight alleys, fast valley roads and busy high streets in this map themed on the Southwest UK.

This is not a UKDT project, nor is it the fabled BotW 2 or Legacy Edition, rather it is simply a tidied up and improved version of the current public release of BotW 1 (v2.6). It features:
  • Removed dependency issues (goodbye Stange_Senchrekt.sco)
  • AI fixes
  • Reduced bumpy road surfaces
  • Significant optimization in the worst areas for FPS
  • A fully revised timetable with working AI buses
  • A general scenic brush-up to bring the map closer to current standards (though it's still a little shoddy in places)
Look out for BotW Legacy Edition, a final version of the map, and BotW 2, a complete rebuilding and expansion of the map, both coming soon.
For installation instructions, please follow the guide in the Readme file. If you do not do this, the map will not work.

Happy driving!
-Chris

People like me that have bad download speeds have to wait ages. Just as a suggestion when it comes to Legacy or V2, maybe you could add in dependencies on the download page so if we did need it we could get but if we didn't then we could just download the .zip with the UKDT stuff in. Sorry if this sounds to be a request, but I was just wondering how to download a map with so much quality without having to wait 25-30 minutes (My internet speed took that long.)

It's unlikely to happen - we'll certainly have a think about it, but you have to thank people who don't read readme files for this.

This map is not brushed up to UKDT release quality, it's just something I wanted to do to give people somewhere to drive until the UKDT comes out with its next release, which will be a while off. They'll all be released as a single download, most likely. It's a shame that the download came to the size it did even without all the dependencies, but you have Freeman's pack to blame for that.

Bundling the whole map into one big download is our preferred solution because it avoids so many irritating question about why the map isn't working later on. Also by having everything self-contained you avoid the issue of dependencies being removed from external sites in the future.

Also, since the map files themselves are usually pretty small, by the time we've separated all the dependencies off, the dependencies download will be so big that there's no point in not including the map itself in that download :tongueclosed: It also makes it easier for us to keep track of what we're including in the download

I seem to have a bit of an issue I was hoping someone could help with. I've downloaded all of the items in the read me file, and correctly installed them. However, just after I leave the depot, I encounter this (see photo).

I hope someone is able to help.

Try running map tools to see whether you are missing anything. It looks as though you are missing the road splines. Also, the textures haven't seemed to load properly, but with the road spline there it wont matter.

I'm tempted to think that the [Shakespearian insult] who made the Busdriversobjeckte pack has altered them in some way as suddenly we've been having issues with it.

The fact that your version has the old wall textures and appears to have no buses in the depot suggests to me you have installed an old version rather than the latest. Please note that this support is only for v2.7.1, any earlier version we will not support - try re-downloading the map from the button at the top of the page.

I'll check the download again just to be sure.

Yeah only just noticed the stange senkrect thing. You've an old map. Delete the map and any folder in /splines, /sceneryobjects and /textures with 'iomex' or 'IMX' in the name, then download the map afresh.

Yes, that's for you. It looks like you have an earlier version of BoTW, which support is not provided for and Iomex was accidentally a bit of a melon and didn't notice. Do as that says and then see if it works.
Thank you! I have Cotterell and Hertfordshire, so is there a risk of there being issues if I delete these items for those 2 maps?

What I would suggest is clean-installing OMSI, then downloading the maps afresh from the most recent links. You can do that by deleting (or renaming, if you want to keep a backup) your OMSI 2 folder, then going to steam and verifying the integrity of the game cache. That'll get you a brand new uncluttered copy. Verify Integrity of Game Cache - How To's - Knowledge Base - Steam Support

Then when you install the maps again (Or at least, Cotterell and BotW 2.7), you should have no problems. I can't vouch for Hertfordshire as I think it uses an old version of the IomexLH pack, so installing that might break BotW 2.7's textures.
