Some constructive feedback:

The trees do not fit the environment at all. You would not get large pine trees in a city centre except in the context of a Christmas tree. There's also stupidly tall trees very close to each other, think about where the roots would go?

I'd rethink the depot layout, it looks far too big, plus the layout is woefully inefficient. You'd likely get palisade fencing around a depot, not a 4m high brick wall all the way round. You've also used the pavement texture for the road surface.

Don't paint the road surface onto the terrain, do it with splines.

It's painfully obvious you've attempted to copy the roads leading to the bus station from Cotterell - even so far as using the same pavement textures and the same building.

The bus station is of an illogical layout, it's about twice as wide as it needs to be, and there's unnecessary gaps in between each stand. And again, the trees. Not only are they poor resolution ones intended for use from a distance, there's not a huge need to use default Trees_MC anymore, UKDT Flora 3 is superior quality.

Apologies if the feedback is a little blunt, but I prefer to get to the point.

I'm not sure if it's been said before, but that's a lot of routes to start off with. Take BoTW for example, one route that's extremely fun to drive on and is highly detailed. I'm sure most people would want just a couple routes or maybe even one route, but a detailed and fun to drive one.

I know this is from a while back, but my curiosity overrides me:

How so? Does the garishness of the pink put the blind at risk at slamming into things? Please, explain, I'm pretty curious as to what else is not allowed under the DDA.
One of the main things was having step access, shown here:

This prevented wheelchairs and prams from getting on.

It's because the colours don't contrast properly.

Have a look here. Appendix B, Page 57.

Handholds and Handrails are much more important within the bus or coach environment than they would be in a static environment.

All passengers will be less steady on their feet on a moving vehicle. People who are visually impaired are sometimes less confident than sighted people when walking because of an uncertainty of what is ahead.

It is important that handrails are highlighted with a maximum level of contrast.

The colour of the handholds and handrails should be chosen to contrast with the surrounding surfaces. These will include seat moquettes and interior wall panels.

Cotterell!
I am sorry to say, But the map isn't looking great at the moment. I'd love to see you build your own bus station. (Unless oc you have perm to have the Cotterell one)

well firstly bro congratulations on learning the editors process and whilst i think your ability has improved i would strongly consider re-designing that bus station bro, it screams Cotterell and a lot of the community might attach a label to your map in that regards. Some constructive feedback would possibly be to research road signs and usage of them as you have some rather curiously placed bollards. Also watch your spline heights as i can see some gaps in the road surfaces between lanes and this would cause an issue. One piece of suggestion would be to use google to get some ideas that havent been used yet or layouts that are simple but effective. On the whole tho your getting there dude so dont lose focus of the end goal and keep at it bro ive reworked Yorkshire more times than i can count, so nothing wrong with ripping apart and reworking as it more often than not works out for the better. Also try using the British content available such as btv or whistleheads houses as they are of good quality for maps and scenery can make all the difference bro. As i say keep at it and dont get disgruntled at how many times you find yourself redoing sections. Once in the editor, always in the editor lol

Yes, this is looking a LOT like Cotterell. I would suggest making your own custom bus station, if you need help making one then just ask an experienced map developer. Other than that, this map is looking okay. ????????

Some interesting ideas, it's a good to see you experimenting. I'm creating a map at the moment (Castleforth), my first map, and as I'm well aware it is nowhere near perfect, all of my ideas have originated from locations around Britain. Looking on Google Maps and Images is very helpful to get to know types of trees to use, road markings and layouts. It's also been previously mentioned in this thread that viewing other successful maps such as BOTW, Hertfordshire and other great maps can help you with which objects and splines to use to make it as realistic as you can.

Constructive Criticism - You must accept it in order to learn, nobody is taking digs at you, we just want to help you become stronger.

- I don't think there's the need for 28 bus 'objects' at the depot. Perhaps some splines such as 'normalLine.sli' can help you produce some parking bays which can be situated somewhere near (or possibly even replace) the rectangle in the centre of the complex.

- The texture you've used on the bus station is more likely to be seen on the surface of a pedestrianised area in a town centre. I'd recommend the road (or asphalt.bmp) texture again here.

Keep developing and learning, and you will draw more positive feedback. Also it never hurts to create a poll and ask followers on their preference, let your audience be a key part of production :)

With the buses, go into your map's folder, find parklist_p.txt. Copy and paste it, rename it to "parklist_p_1.txt" Open it, then replace the listed vehicles with the static vehicles you're using at the bus station. Save, close.

Open the editor, select each bus model, and without moving it, change it to a car park object. Click 'Options', and change the index to '1'. Do this for each of the static vehicles.

The 'index' setting in the option refers to the number you've put in the parklist filename. OMSI then knows that car park object refers to that parklist, and instead of putting cars down, it'll put the buses down which you specified in parklist_p_1.txt. The buses will be chosen at random, and depending on settings, might not even be there at all. This is how the parked buses in Cotterell work.
