This product is now released and can be discussed at Other - [Official DLC] OMSI London

* Updated 9th December 2017.*
In order to ensure the London WIP thread is solely focused on the Work in Progress developments of London. It's been decided that it will be best to create a new thread for any questions that you may have regarding the features to be included in the add-on.

Prior to asking your questions, please ensure that this has not already been showcased in the WIP topic. Please also ensure that you READ this thread before commenting

Please Note: This thread is not the place to ask for the add-on's release date as I will disclose that once it's time to make it publicly known.

FAQ:
What buses are included in the DLC package?
- B5LH/Gemini 3
  • Citybus 200
  • Citybus 400
  • New Routemaster

What routes are included in the DLC package? (updated)

Do the buses come with an onboard iBus system?
Yes, it's currently being re-scripted to allow it to have a few more functions. These functions will be disclosed at a later date as it's not our top priority.

Can I become a beta tester for one of the vehicles/map?
No, we are not looking for any beta testers. We appreciate many of you are excited, but we also do expect many of you to respect our decision. All testers were selected by myself and my development team. This was done on a basis of people who are in the community who we can already trust, and not done on the basis of requests.

How much will add-on London cost?
Add-On London is currently expected to be priced at £24.99/27.95 Euros for the download version dependent on where you live, and £28-£30 for the boxed version depending on which site you purchase the add-on from.

Are there any plans for future vehicles post-London release?
Yes, there are plans for a number of vehicles which will be confirmed once development has started on those. The only confirmed vehicle is the Enviro400City, as discussed above.

Will the buses use the same rollband system as the current freeware London B9TL?
Road-hog123 has spent excessive time working on a brand new rollband script to replicate the Mckenna Brother's Powerblinds unit. All buses included in the add-on will feature its own unique powerblind set and does not replicate the example seen in the Volvo B9TL by AD156

On Rhys's recent screenshot is it only on my end or is there a glitch there? or is that meant to be there?

I've not added my new street lights yet, the area is still heavily WIP, and is receiving detailing. The flag will be re-attached to a street light later today :)

Ahhh ok! :D I was gonna ask the man who did it if he could do something for me lol! But i may give it a go myself hah, that is professional man. Im guilty of thinking I need a professional touch to things but that looks spot on mate.

Just wanted to say the headlight modifications on the Gemini 3 look excellent, much better than they were before, and much more like the real thing. New mirrors look equally as excellent too. The only critiscism I have is the new registration plate font doesn't look nearly as good as the one you had previously imo, and I think the bolts in the bodywork look a bit too prominent

Thank you, yes, I should've said, the front was indeed re-done. The bus recieved a completely brand new bumper and headlights. It was too flat beforehand. The upper deck also saw a few tweaks, so it wasn't as flat. I'll play around with the bolts, and hmm, I may put the old reg font back on then. Was using the new font RH made for the C400, but of course, if everyone prefers the old one, I'll use that then :D.

Thanks to @BlueOrange for giving me very good advice on the G3's front over the past 3 days. After seeing his amazing Streetdeck, I instantly knew my G3 would need a new front haha.

I think I'm going to lock this thread for now. I plan to do some more work on the C200/C200R, once I start testing in London. This includes a rebuild to it's front panels as well as making the C200R model independently by myself, and producing various variants. All planned changes will be staggered before and after London's release. With the regional intended to be done after London's release, just before I complete my next project after London.
Heya Rhys if u don’t mind me asking what’s happening with your citybus 200 I haven’t seen that little thing in ages any way we can get pics with it And BTW every time I see a new update come to the add on I get a little tingle inside because I realise how lucky we all are to have someone like you ????????
Thanks for the kind comments btw :D

Nope, they'll use real life London registrations. You're always free to create your own custom registrations, as OMSI already allows you to. I just don't see it as being necessary to have custom plates when it's only a slight interior change to swap out the seats and add a sofa and tables :)
Are the high spec MCVs going to have fictitious registrations or even specialist plates?

... well, where do you think?!
Showerthought: it'd be interesting to see what screenshots other people make out of this addon. Maybe some people might recreate the pre-100%-red liveries on the newer buses. Maybe some regional buses may be sent in or 'tube strike' scenarios may play out. Maybe there might be operator changes, both real and fictional. And maybe, even, there may be things that honestly don't make sense - e.g: an EYMS ALX400 serving a London route.

Honestly, I'm waiting on someone trying to recreate the bus services around Central London in the Olympics when this comes out. Man, if only I knew then...
