some are decent, THEYRE ALX300s THEY ARE GREAT!
Do not have a go at me about the window irregularities. I'm aware and they will be fixed when their time comes
Cool bus mate
This is going to look great in London add on when it comes out
So some things have happened to the Palatine since its last update which i shall now show you
Windows at the front have been fixed (I know about that side window, it bugs me too, believe me gaskets are the next things on my list )
Some of the back engravings are on but I've yet to complete the rear
And thats it.
Looks really nice finches (a school bus operator uses them around our way
So I can do that repaint for u if u want
That'd be the newer Volvo Olympian Palatine 1, I'm doing the old Leyland Palatine 1, as shown below (photo mine)
That is the exact bus I'm basing the Palatine off, with the bus next to it what I'm basing the ALX300 off of.
And also it's UPDATE TIME!
So, after a bit of a conversation with Rhys, i realised the poly count for the ALX300 is actually LOW and not increasingly high, so work has continued but the progress looks worse. Theres no point in me sending you screens of the ALX300, only thing new is that its seats are missing, but a lot is being remodelled (hopefully including them annoying lights, if @The_Growl 's method works) to be easier for UV Mapping. Currently, TheMapper and Lemon have both been UV mapping various bits for my buses, and I cannot thank them enough for that. It is much appreciated, and you see people, THAT is how you get betas!
New seats on the ALX300 are on the left whilst the old ones are on the right. The new seats save a lot of polies and look a lot nicer. My current concern with it is that the leg (not seen in the demo version) is a bit short but nothing major
Here's a comparison of the seats side by side, in edit mode.
Meanwhile on the Palatine, we have gaskets! Made from the same recipe as the RL (but executed with a lot more success) the windows are no longer triggering! So yay! Work will probably be slow on this for a while until i get some certain reference photos, I am hopefully visiting G520VBB in early july to get some reference and sound from then, so yeah. I'll probably move the Metrobus more up into the spotlight in this time.
Nothing has really happened on the Metrobus or Eclipse 3 during this period. The Metrobus i will aspire to finish as one of my projects, but the Eclipse 3, if anyone wishes to take it over, especially if they have access to said bus, is more than welcome to. Just give me a PM here or discord (my discord number is #6781) and I'll hand over the blends.
Have a great remainder of the weekend, and a good half term everyone!
It's UPDATE TIME!
So, whats been going on?
I could have actually started putting the ALX300 in the game last week, but I decided to abort that at the last minute. I've decided to go over the bus, redoing things like the Handrails to make them more realistic. I'm trying to get the bus on par with the ALX400 and doing that requires a lot of work as the ALX400 is absolutely stunning as we can all agree!
I dont know if i got the ALX300 font right, if anyone knows what it is do let me know!
The new seats have been fitted and baked by the Growl. You may also notice some handrail differences here too!
Another major set of improvements here as well
The WIP dash view, watch this space. There's more to come
Only the ALX300 is being worked on at the minute,
also my beta testing team has been chosen.
Looking good buddy! Wish you all the best with the projects!
the front looks right to me however just above the lights there is a lip sort of thing
#EDIT this is a MAN ALX300 not al VOLVO you are spot on with out the 'lip'
The "lip" was a facelift that came in on the ALX single deck bodies (it has always been offered like that on the ALX400/500) in about 2000, and my bus spec is a 1997/8 batch, so it has the old front
I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but I have just heard word from Luke that this project will be suspended until further notice, due to unforseen circumstances, greatest apologies.
Sorry @ALX400 Bus Train &Aviation didn't realise you were doing that early model just thought it was a standard B10BLE ALX as we only get mans were I live (before they were scrapped)
