Oxford. Situated in the South-East of England, and the 52nd largest city in the UK, it is home to the oldest English speaking university in the world. This project aims to bring a large chunk of Oxford into OMSI, with realistic scenery, and custom assets. This project will be released incrementally, with updates happening when I feel that they are suitable for release. This project has been ongoing since March of 2016, just before I arrived at Fellowsfilm.

Initially, I was hoping to have a playable version in Q4 2017, but due to a long period where I lost motivation, this has been pushed back to Q2 of 2018. There is still a large amount to do, as I plan on including 3 routes in the initial release.

Initial Release 1.0 - Q2 2018
This version will include 3 routes. The 3 routes are all very different, meaning that there will be much variety. The three routes will be:
  • Park and Ride - 300 - Redbridge <> City Centre
  • Express - X3 - Abingdon <> City Centre / Abingdon <> Oxford Train Station
  • Inter-Urban - 35 - Abingdon <> City Centre
Second Release - 1.1 - Q4 2018
This version will be smaller in size, because the base of the map has already been done.
  • Express - X13 - Abingdon <> John Radcliffe Hospital
  • Urban - 5 - City Centre <> Blackbird Leys
  • Park and Ride - 300 - City Centre <> Pear Tree
  • Park and Ride - 400 - City Centre <> Thornhill
I have not planned further than this at this point, since plans are most likely going to change.

No. You cannot have a pre-release version. I will select a team when it comes closer to release. If you ask, you will be ignored.

Update
So, it has been a while since I have posted here about the map. In fact, I've not touched the map since the initial post here a few months ago, but that does not mean I've not been actively working on things. One of the most used buses in the OMSI community was the B10BLE Wright Renown from AD156. That bus was originally an MM2 convert (or so I believe) and it is not fully upto OMSI standard. People have tried resurrecting it, but to no avail. I decided that I would recreate the renown from scratch, using no parts from the original what so ever. Currently, the bus is ~156,000 polygons. I have yet to find anywhere to get the sounds from however, so that is still a task which needs completing. Now, for the juicy bits...

This project is currently postponed due to actions from various members of the community. Learn to respect peoples work.
Hello everyone.
It is getting to the point in this community where developers like myself are going to stop developing content for free, and also sending out beta versions of buses, and maps. There has been a spike of leaking recently in the community, mainly revolving around V3D's ALX 400, and some content from OMSI 2 Addon London. Everything to do with this is unacceptable, and I have decided that my map will be postponed until further notice, and this also goes for the renown. Lloyd Jackson is scum of the earth, with many fake pages across facebook, and other social media platforms spreading infected, unstable versions of V3Ds ALX 400. I've completely given up with acting professional on this page, but if any of Lloyd Jackson's fake accounts or pages see this, £*** you. You have no right to be spreading such things around the community. You're even lucky that V3D has not yet stopped development on all his projects, like I currently have.

This community is now a $***-pile with ungrateful pieces of $*** who have no respect for the exremely hard work developers put into their projects, all for everyone to have a great time using and playing with them.

If any of you own servers, or are administrators of servers, ban Lloyd Jackson immediately. He cannot be trusted with anything.
- Non-famliy friendly post by myself, going into more detail.

The thread will remain open, but moderators, please lock it if it turns toxic.

I won't lie to you, I am saddened by the fact that you have stopped developments. But I can completely sympathise and understand why. There are so many ungrateful and selfish people in this community that don't deserve the absolutely fantastic work that goes into the projects they steal and use. I do hope you continue work on your projects someday, though hopefully, the community will have stopped being as selfish and child-like as they are now. Good luck :)
