As I tend to go for a bit of a scattergun approach with my projects, I reckon it's probably best to have some kind of central location to keep everything, rather than having a ton of individual threads. Seems to make sense to keep everyone else's work here, too, so let's get started!

Addenbrookes is coming along quite nicely, I feel. The paved area is complete, though I reckon some of the textures need a little tweaking before I'm fully happy with them - it's a little pristine right now.

Cardiff
I said a while ago I'd make an update every now and then about the state of Cardiff. For anyone who may not be aware, I am working on a real map covering the South-West of Cardiff and the majority of Penarth. :)

Since I've closed my WIP thread a year or so ago, I've been working on the map in private. There's still a lot to be done before the map can be released however; there are still large gaps in scenery and there's a few roads to join up and a few junctions to do. However, as it's currently summer and I have plenty of free time, I'm trying to get a lot done before I go off to Uni in September.

For those who may not be aware, I intend to include the following routes:
4 City Centre - Leckwith Depot
9C City Centre - Channel View via Grangetown (no longer exists in reality and is part of the 54 to Cyncoed)
92/B Cardiff - Penarth (St. Luke's Avenue) via Cogan
95A/B Cardiff - Penarth via Llandough
95C City Centre - Leckwith Park and Ride
I can't tell you which ones will be included in the first versions, as I'm not prioritising any route over another. The first version will simply be released when I believe it is appropriate.

Sorry for such a big post. I've put the screenshots in the spoilers, along with a link to the real life location on Streetview.

DEPOT
Rebuilt bus depot. This is Cardiff Bus' only bus depot and is located in Leckwith. The route 4 terminates in the outdoor bus parking area at the back of the depot.

CITY CENTRE
I have been slowly rebuilding the city centre to improve the quality. This area is still very incomplete.

Been working on LOD (Level Of Detail) meshes for the AI vehicles. The left vehicle is the original, and the right is what it'll turn into at long distances, to improve performance. I'm also going to provide the option to use only the LOD mesh versions, to give users with lower-spec PCs an option to improve performance should they wish.

And yes, as people have been talking about since the last post, this is for Addon London - I've been streaming most days recently working on the AI vehicles for the addon (and in fact, at the time of the post I am currently streaming).

Above is SN53 EUJ on the Rail replacement service going to Radington City Airport.
Can I just give a small bit of advice. If you drive this section with a bus and remove the splines which you can't see. Like the parking space lines right in the middle behind the fence. I don't think you would ever see them. It isn't something massive but it is a start to optimization.

Did I see that there were different types/specs of that transit? Are some crewbuses and some plain panel vans?

Yes, there's a panel van, half glass, minibus and taxi version :) if I have time I'm also going to make chassis-cab versions like Luton vans and council work trucks
