    Hey,

Firstly, we apologise for all of the downtime and issues we've had. These were out of our control, and rest assured we have been working hard to get everything back up-and-running as soon as possible, but a number of problems have stood in our way.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, we were alerted to an issue with the database back on our old-style forums. It turns out these were caused by a broken tool on the forum software, which mistakenly deleted a number of tables and data from our database.

This meant that the forums were no longer operational and we had many configuration errors appearing across the entire site (we couldn't even access the Admin Panel).

This was when we started looking at possible solutions, and then made the decision to move over to completely new forum software. This was partly because fixing the existing forums with the assistance of IPS Support seemed to be an issue in itself, and because we have had a number of issues with IPS previously (as you're probably already aware).

So on Sunday night, after much discussion, we began moving over to the new software (XenForo). Fortunately, the posts/threads and member details were not affected so we've been able to grab them from that database. We have unfortunately not been able to recover any files (such as profile pictures, post attachment images and file uploads from the Downloads Centre) or downloads listings.

This means that profile pictures and all files hosted on the Downloads Centre will need to be completely re-uploaded. Again, I do honestly apologise on behalf of the entire team for the inconvenience this causes. We try our very best to provide the best web services for all of our users, but luck has not been on our side over the past few months, especially with the old forum software.

If you do not like the default design and layout of the site, we will be soon releasing a design to the forum that is very similar to our original design over on the old software. We aim to get this released within the next couple of days.

If you have any further questions regarding the software upgrade and changes, feel free to leave a reply to this thread.

Many thanks for getting the Forums back Online in such a quick and efficient manor, technical issues can arise and I'm sure we all understand that! In regards to the Downloads Centre, how do we go about re-uploading our files with this new Forum Software? I have a feeling some other people may be wondering this, as I personally can't see any button to give you the option to upload the file, or anything! Any advice on this would be highly appreciated! :)

Hey Jason, thanks. It was definitely a long process getting everything across but we're finally back online.

There seems to be a problem with the theme at the moment with showing a button to add resources, so please use this link instead. I'll put an alert on the Resources page too with the link. We'll try and get it fixed as soon as possible though.

Many thanks for providing a temporary fix! I would like to ask though, is there any feature in the Admin Tools to increase the amount of files that can be uploaded per resource like there was on the old Forum Software? You see, some of my Skin Packs have two different versions and I would like them all to be in one space with the option to select the download you would like! Any advice on this would be highly appreciated!

I'll look into getting that added, as it was quite a useful feature.

Well, I dunno about the new layout, I suppose its alright. I will be getting the old style textures when they come out though. The only thing is I used to have 142 likes, but I now only have 126?? Nvm, I'll reupload my files sometime soon but I dunno when, as hurricane Hermine is affecting where i am staying and my flight to Montreal (connecting my flight to England) may get cancelled...

The lost likes are from files in the Downloads Centre, and we hope to get the original style forums design up this evening :).
