Hey All,
Decided that I'm going to post most Aussiex updates on here, the aussiex page will be updated from time to time, however I think it will be better to support the UKDT. Big thanks to Whistlehead for introducing to this forum, loving the format!

Been working away at the project and I have about 80% of roads in the game, 10/11 bus routes have been timetabled already and the main focus on the next month is improving the quality from the beta and developing the buses and scenery.

EDIT (whistlehead):
For those who don't know (doubt there's many) this is a payware addon in development which Rhys here has been working on for some time, and which will include a number of real routes and buses from London :)

FAQ: LondonFAQ_WH.docx - Microsoft Word Online

EDIT (Road-hog123):
NOTE: As a result of a server crash during 2016, all prior attachments were lost. This included the screenshots at the beginning of this thread. As such, I've removed a little over 20 pages at the beginning of the thread up to the first working images. What's removed wasn't really indicative of the current map progress anyhow.

A lot of developments have gone on since the last update, more polishing and a complete rebuild of the New Routemaster, now that the final vehicle has been rebuilt, all that is left is to polish up on a few bits and add a bit more detail to all remaining vehicles.
Edit from the future: The NRM will be added to the addon after release when licensing from Heatherwick Studios (who designed the NRM itself and own the appearance of the bus) has been acquired.

A couple of important announcements.

-Firstly, OMSI 2 London won't be released on September 22nd and we are hoping for a release in Early/Mid October (we will confirm closer to the time), this is owing to a number of quality checks with the map/buses. Future guy again... Owing to a hardware failure at Showbus we didn't make this one either.... And after repeated missing of release dates, setting of them has been suspended until further notice. It'll get released when it's finished. However, a number of advanced dummy copies of London will be available for sale as well at Showbus 2016 as well an opportunity to get a free copy of London as part of the raffle held at the event (See below).

-Secondly, a couple of members of my admin team and a few members of the UKDT (UK Development Team) have partnered up with each other to create a new team called "The Virtual Driving Experience". This focuses on running OMSI 2 Gameplay workshops at bus events.

Following on from the last point, The Virtual Driving Team will be atShowbus 2016 which is being held in Donington Park on Sunday September 25th (visit page for more details). At the event, you will be able to virtually drive on board some of London's most well known bus routes included in the add-on, as well as tackling the country roads of "Buses of The West Country 2" and the inter-suburban streets of "Cotterell".

I've spent the course of this week focusing on chronology features for the map. The biggest chronology feature in Add-On London is London Pride.

London Pride is an LGBT event that is held annually in Central London on the last weekend of June.

A number of bus services see major disruptions during the day which involves a number of curtailments on routes passing through the area.

-Route 453 does not run during the event.
-Routes 3/N3/159 terminates at Parliament Square/Lambeth Bridge (3)/Lambeth North (159) during the event.
-Route 12 terminates at Lambeth North during the event.

You are also able to drive the 'Ride With Pride' New Routemaster on the special Pride Parade service during the day.

I'd be careful on your use of static people, as they look really quite odd. You should use a mix of regular and static people. I believe static people are more optimised and regular people being used can be quite laggy, but using 100% static people is gonna look weird because they're not gonna move or anything, therefore using the regular moving people should at least take the odd look away from that.

Also, whats a Pr a Manger? Pretty sure its a Pret a Manger. Might need to fix that sign up a bit. But other than that, this looks brilliant!

It's for the Pride Event only, it's not there 24/7. There isn't any AI traffic passing through the event other than the pride vehicles so I highly doubt it would decrease FPS. There's no way I can simulate that amount of non static people in OMSI.

I'm also not allowed to use many logos of shops. So a number of them have slight alterations to their name.

Reworked interior of the "London Citybus 400" as it shall be known, just a few handrail fittings and textures from completion. It's not 100% faithful to the real thing but for licensing reasons it technically it isn't the real thing anyway :p

The bus will be fully repaintable, inside and out :) (and yes, you can get rid of the embossed London logos inside, they're just a texture)

Big thanks to those who came to showbus and managed to get an early access copy of London, it was really nice meeting so many of you and I do hope to see many of you again in the future.

Things did not go as smoothly as we had hoped for Showbus, as many of you who were there were aware. But we are hoping that all data which was lost on one of my hard drives at the event will be recovered over the next few days, this does affect the early access people, however the London Citybus 400 will be sent out to those purchasers on the over the next week to compensate for the time being.
