Hey All,
Decided that I'm going to post most Aussiex updates on here, the aussiex page will be updated from time to time, however I think it will be better to support the UKDT. Big thanks to Whistlehead for introducing to this forum, loving the format!

Been working away at the project and I have about 80% of roads in the game, 10/11 bus routes have been timetabled already and the main focus on the next month is improving the quality from the beta and developing the buses and scenery.

EDIT (whistlehead):
For those who don't know (doubt there's many) this is a payware addon in development which Rhys here has been working on for some time, and which will include a number of real routes and buses from London :)

EDIT (Road-hog123):
NOTE: As a result of a server crash during 2016, all prior attachments were lost. This included the screenshots at the beginning of this thread. As such, I've removed a little over 20 pages at the beginning of the thread up to the first working images. What's removed wasn't really indicative of the current map progress anyhow.

Just to clear up a little confusion:
Those who bought a copy of London at Showbus (and therefore have early access to London) and beta testers were given the London Citybus 400 on Friday evening by Rhys. It is not possible to obtain the Citybus 400 any other way and those that have been given the Citybus 400 are not permitted to distribute it (please don't ask Rhys or anyone else for the bus, if you did not purchase London at Showbus and are not a beta tester, you will not be given the bus and will have to wait until London is officially released).
:)

Is the wheel base really that short in real life? It looks like it might fall backwards!
yeah, think its the slant at the rear, behind the wheels which I need to extend a bit.

Couple of interior shots so far. Thanks to @Lowlander21 for the dash and @whistlehead for the seats :tongueout:

what is the difference between the citybus 400 and the normal E400
These have to be London Citybuses with no logos and changed names because Aerosoft won't get licensing from the companies.
The Enviro 400 is a real double deck bus designed and built by Alexander Dennis Ltd that can be found operating in London. The London Citybus is a digital double deck bus that looks almost identical to the Enviro 400 and is found operating in Addon London, but is not made by ADL. Being constructed as a representation of the E400, the C400 has a slightly different shape outside and minor differences to the interior.

More polishing done :p

Nearly finished with the map, pretty much after I finish polishing the South Bank/Aldwych/Walworth Road, all I'll have left to do is revamping the areas I lost at showbus again (Brixton, Trafalgar Square, Herne Hill) Add Chronos, and polish up the vehicles.

As discussed an FAQ will be posted this weekend.

In order to stick to an ideal time schedule for London, I have removed Routes 453, 168, X68, 415 from the map for the time being. And made the following changes to to these routes below.

Route 12 now runs between Oxford Circus and Camberwell, Medlar Street (as opposed to going all the way to Dulwich Library
Route 171/N171 now runs between Holborn and Camberwell Medlar Street (As opposed to the short hop to Peckham)
Route 159 now runs between Marble Arch and Streatham Hill Station (As opposed to Streatham Station)
Route 133/N133 now runs between Elephant & Castle & Streatham Hill, Telford Avenue (As opposed to Streatham Station)
Route 68 now runs between Euston and Tulse Hill Station with every other journey curtailing at Herne Hill or Camberwell Green (As opposed to running to West Norwood.)

All removed areas will be added back in 2017. Can't afford anymore delays. The release of the addon is now scheduled for mid-November for the download version.

Following a meeting with TfL last month, TfL have launched their Ride With Pride campaign within the addon. I've developed some animated advert boards to show off some of the material that was provided to me. I also took the time to re-texture the bus shelters seeming as they were made over 2 years ago.

Been also working on the Euston-Waterloo corridor. Pretty much every building and crossing had to be re-done from scratch in these areas to enhance the quality.

Few screenshots around Holborn.:

For those who asked for the route list for the addon, see below. This will be included in the FAQ later as well.

3/N3 Crystal Palace to Oxford Circus/Regent Street
12 Camberwell Green to Oxford Circus
59 Streatham Hill, Telford Ave to King's Cross
68 Herne Hill to Euston
91 King's Cross to Trafalgar Square
171/N171 Camberwell Green to Holborn
133/N133 Streatham Hill to Elephant & Castle
159 Marble Arch to Streatham Hill Station
415 Brixton, Morval Road to Elephant & Castle
N68 Holborn to Herne Hill
Thameslink RRP: Herne Hill to St. Pancras International Station via Elephant & Castle
Southeastern RRP: West Dulwich to Charing Cross via Herne Hill and Brixton
-2 Sightseeing routes by day and one by night

The route-map is currently being redesigned to accommodate the changes. An extended trailer is also in the works for Steam and Youtube. And the download release date is expected in November before the boxed version. Just awaiting confirmation from Aerosoft.

Also requested all images/the description of the buses on the sales pages of Aerosoft and Amazon all be replaced with brand new ones representing the addon a lot better.

Stay tuned for a very important announcement coming up

Quick question, is the destination board Rollbands or LED ? On the regional

We'll answer that when we've finished setting it up :p It will be an LED destination rather than rollbands though, only the buses in the London add-on will have the special new type of rollband developed for the map.

Oh yes, that does bring me onto say. Now a proper rollband system has been implemented by Road-hog, this now makes all London buses only compatible with the Addon, BOTW/Cotterell, a tutorial will be added in the London manual in how to add more routes onto the blind-set. :p

First project for me will be a Green/Mustard blindset, will the NRM only have blinds for NRM routes or will they have the full blind set?

ALX400's are definitely old in my opinion. I agree though that the enviro 400 design hasn't aged much/doesn't feel very old. Looking forward to trying out the 'citybus 400r' tomorrow, will be good to get an idea of the quality we can expect from the other buses in the addon.

Just a quick question though, apologies if they've already been answered here: will we be able to use it with any map if we just copy the .hof file over to this 400r bus? Or will destination displays need to be created?

Pleased to hear that for the addon there will be tutorials for creating destinations and repaints, and I'm extremely glad to hear that you'll allow us to curtail any bus rather than only going to it's set destination. I noticed that the 10th November release date is awaiting Aerosoft confirmation, so is it not quite definite yet then?

:P and we've not fully decided on what to do with the destination set, currently, it has a Hanover set, but Chris or Roadhog may implement a matrix set before release

Here is the repaint template for the C400R. Feel free to work on your own repaints ahead of the actual release. :)

The thread has been locked ahead of release as it was getting a little spammy. If you wish to discuss the bus or anything else in general, feel free to join our Discord via. the widget on the forum homepage.
