Our server move has now been successfully completed and everything, including the Downloads sections and file uploads, should now be operating normally.

The new server is based in France to cater for the majority of our users, who are mostly based in the UK and across Europe. Don't worry though; connections for people across the world will still be fast and reliable.

Our reason for moving server was due to the trouble we've had with our previous one. We have now completely moved anyway from our old provider and are now with a reputable provider. We've also had the opportunity to move our DNS over onto Cloudflare's network, meaning that we are protected from any attempted DDOS attacks as well as a whole list of other things including faster site loading times. It also means that we can provide you with encryption by the means of SSL (HTTPS) for an even securer site.

Additionally, we've moved all files that we host (that includes everything on the Downloads Centre, profile pictures, cover photos, images you've uploaded to posts and thumbnails) over to Amazon S3 for a more reliable service there and to avoid any files from being lost, like we've seen in the past. As well as this, we've also introduced a new backup system to keep our database preserved and safe in the unlikely event our new server has issues, which backs up all members, topics and posts etc...

I'll be keeping a close eye on everything across the site over the next few hours and days, but if you do find any issues with the site please let me know and I will try and get it fixed as soon as possible.

We are aware of a current issue with corrupted files being downloaded from the Downloads Centre. We ask everybody who has uploaded a file to the Downloads Centre to check that their files are not corrupted, and if they are, update the file by uploading it again.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Edit: All issues with the Downloads Centre have now been resolved.
