Hi guys i'm trying to get back into map editing i used to do little bits on Omsi 1, I want to create a Wakefield map from west yorkshire simply because its my local area and it has many small urban routes hence Arriva branding the "little arriva buses big in wakefield"
I know many british maps are being made now so would people be interested in a map like this, Eventually it may get the surrounding towns/cities added but not for a while
Lastly does anyone know if there is anyone working on a small enviro 200, i know there is a repaint for the original 200 but i would like this to be as realistic as possible
Any support or guidance would be appreciated, If you feel you can help in anyway and would be willing to that would be appreciated alot. Thanks in advance
ps, sorry if this post doesn't make sense at any point, My main language is gibberish ...

You could use the report function to make a moderator awarePointing out photo theft on here is useless as it seems a lot of members actually do it and Mods/Admins never actually do anything about it people just put "Not my photo" thinking that is enough to justify but if you convert a bus from a separate game oh its illegal and they're all over you, do not worry it annoys me too luckily have not had any of mine lifted and placed on here as far as i know
It just takes the pee though Rhys because near enough 90% of bus photographs on here are lifted from some from of Website and its annoying when people work hard, use there earned money to get these photographs, i have already mentioned this before and it got blanked for example if someone posted a Chris Samuels bus there was and would be an up roar but an illegally posted photo arh its fine, not saying you or any other staff are bad however. You could use the report function to make a moderator aware

As long as he doesn't claim the photo is his, it is fair use and is not considered stealing.Pointing out photo theft on here is useless as it seems a lot of members actually do it and Mods/Admins never actually do anything about it people just put "Not my photo" thinking that is enough to justify but if you convert a bus from a separate game oh its illegal and they're all over you, do not worry it annoys me too luckily have not had any of mine lifted and placed on here as far as i know
Someone has just fully posted proof of a stolen image right there. If there is valid proof and the image in question is brought to our attention we can take action, however if there is no proof then we can;t really do much about it since it will be someones word against another.
So if i walked into a shop took say some sweets, walked out, got caught and then said they're not mine, its not stealing? think it through. As long as he doesn't claim the photo is his, it is fair use and is not considered stealing.
That's the complete opposite of what I said. Fair Use allows you to use images without permission if you : A. Don't claim that the picture belongs to you (Which he didn't) and B) You don't monetize them in any way/shape or form. (Which he doesn't).So if i walked into a shop took say some sweets, walked out, got caught and then said they're not mine, its not stealing? think it through.
Fair play for trying, but I'm sure that if you read up on copyright law, that using someone elses photograph without permissionis illegal. I don't want to list how many incidents there have been over this kind of thing. I know there is copyright there but in these day; it is broken, and not a lot of people know how to use it in a correct manner.
No but you completely understand what im getting at do you not?@N531 DWM Does that not make every search engine illegal :tongueout:
Yes, of course I do. The copyright laws, automatically protect you're work, without the need to say so, so everything you have said is perfectly correct. No but you completely understand what im getting at do you not?
Try and get as many reference pictures as possible. Use a program called Blender really, which is difficult to use at first but you should be able to gradually build up your knowledgeAlright I'm new around these forums! I notice there isn't an awful lot of people modelling and after telling myself I cannot vehicle model for the life of me, I've decided to try my best
and try produce a bus..
I've been a Cinema4D hobby modeler for 3-4 years on and off, mainly off.. could anyone point me in the right direction to start modelling buses?
I tried to model vehicles before and I was god awful at it, wasn't a very easy process at all.. I do have a friend working as a driver for local stagecoach so I suppose the easiest way would maybe be to go take photos myself I guess? I dunno, any suggestions would be great!
Omsi uses files labelled .o3d, which are unique to the game. To get these files, the model must be in the .x format, and then ran through the converted which came with the game. So as long as you can get it to a .x file somehow, you should be fineThere's a bigger community for blender I would say, can't imagine exporting will be much harder either, but I could be wrong. I used to export into UE4 but I dunno how different that is to OMSI' engine. I'll maybe take up blender, I found cinema much easier to use but maybe I never gave it much of a chance. Thanks for writing that tut though! I'll have to have a look at it
