Wait a minute, so that thing I saw on facebook weren't a photoshop. Huh. I thing it looks alright, but could never replace the classic oval gemini. Better than the PC glitch stealthdeck.

Well it wont replace the Gemini as the Gemini is a Twindeck version of the Eclipse. The new Eclipse 3 will replace the previous Eclipse 3 (which shared most of its body with the Eclipse 2) .

Always thought the Wheel Forward was and is similar to the Optare Solo, which is contraditctory, thought Optare was Solo in it's efforts for a mini bus of such design... Cest La Vie!

I miss the days when a Leyland was noticeable from a Volvo Alisa and such, where's the originality gone in bus transit?

I prefer the new Front Ended Eclipse to the StreetDeck/Gemini 3. Looks much better on a single deck. The wrap around windscreen does help with visibility an awful lot. Although the buses with this new style feel to have a larger front overhang than a normal Gemini. I do think that the whole design of Wrights has gone down, only good thing about this is that it has a proper sized engine in it.

Optare is the bus manufacturer, and Solo is the design of the bus, along with the SoloS, SoloSR etc... An entirely different enterprise to Wrigthbus :P

I think LT586 is fully aware Optare is its own manufacturer. He is a bus modeller at the end of the day, it seemed like he was highlighting the fact that Optare was the only manufacturer at the time using the wheel forward design in their vehicles. He mainly used a play of words with "Optare" and "Solo" to get his point across.

Is that a new streetlite or something?
That is the cheaper version of a Streetlite Wright offers.
I'm not sure it's cheaper as such. It's was the narrow body version on the Streetlite (9.1x2.3m) built by Wrightbus subsidiary Nu-Track. The Optare equivalent would the slimline Solo and Solo SE. I think it looks a bit better than the standard Streetlite tbh. I think the "Nu-Vibe" eventually became StreetVibe Nu-Vibe – Low Floor Entry 33 Seat | Nu Track

The legroom is actually fantastic on these buses contrary to what it looks like on the video. Similarly the seats are some of of the most comfortable in the industry in my opinion. The build quality is not as good as the previous eclipses/Geminis but I was impressed with the B8 chassis - very powerful and quiet with what seemed like a kickdown type function enabled too (atleast the driver made the bus drop a gear or two when overtaking cyclists/vehicles on dual carriageways. I don't often like new buses but these are impressive compared to eco-voiths and/or dinky engines in most modern buses.

These are 13.2m long rather than the standard 12m, but still only has 40 seats for better legroom. These are the longest single deck service buses in the UK on the normal 2 axles (they're the longest in the UK full stop with the exception of the Scania Omnilink tri-axles with Stagecoach and DRM).
